This image was taken to shoe the advancement of the railroad system during 1898 in Texas. Using this image we learn how during the year 1898 the Texans railroad system had grown. One reason this is a great example of Big Business is the fact that during this era of time the railroads were new and to see one to have grown this large in three years shows the work needed.
This political cartoon shows a devil wearing a business suit, holding a fire brand labeled "Arson" in one hand and hanging from the other is a large knife labeled "Murder" he is accepting a payment for $10,000 from a hand labeled "Vast Sums on Uninvestigated Risks" extending from a "Fire Insurance" company with a motto that states "We Insure Everything and Anybody" on the corner of the building.
